This is The Clapping Oak Journal, a newsletter about Holistic communication to grow joy, strength, and connection.
I named my business The Clapping Oak because I wanted it to say something about what I wanted to put into the world and also what I wanted more of in my own life. It came at a time when learning how trees relate to each other in the forest lit me up. Strong, sturdy, diverse trees thrive in community — also known as a forest — because they are communicating with each other in ways that support their mutual wellbeing.
The Clapping Oak Journal is a place for me to share thoughts about how we relate to each other, how we can practice and improve as individuals and communities, and probably some other stuff that is just plain worth sharing, at least in my mind. Some of it will relate to the workshops and trainings I do. Some won’t. Feel free to pick and choose.
